Finding the Puppies
2/14/24 Some puppies were abandoned on the streets and we found them and they came up to us. I got some photos with my Google Pixel 8 Pro. The black, brown, and white boy puppy is named Shifty. The brown and white spotted girl that really clung to me is Daisy Cow, and the all brown girl puppy is Doe. They were so adorable.
Night in the City
4/3/24 Some night photography in the city with my Sony A6000. I tried the Meike 35mm f/1.4 E Lens as well as the 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 E Lens by Sony.
Two Doves flying above
3/21/24 Spotted Two Doves flying above while visiting a park one afternoon. I used the Sony A600 and the 16-50mm Lens.
A Lovely Stream in the Spring
3/13/24 One of my favorite nearby nature spots is this little stream and wooded area. It was nice to return here in the Spring after shooting here in the Fall when the leaves were yellow and floating in the water. Photos taken with the Canon 6D Mark II and the 50mm Lens.
The Last Day with the Puppies
2/20/24 Several weeks ago we found some puppies. Two girls and a boy, these puppies were left on the street and we were instantly drawn together. I suggested before putting them up for adoption that we spend one last fun day with them at the park, feeding them, carrying them, hugging them, and playing with them, letting them roam freely so they would have nice memories with us. Photos taken with the Canon 6D Mark II and the 50mm Lens.
Blizzard in February
2/11/24 In February this massive blizzard rolled in and several feet of snow covered the ground as it snowed day and night! This is probably among some of the heaviest amount of snowfall I’ve seen in Texas and it was really cool to capture snowflakes falling. Photos taken with the Canon 6D Mark II and the 50mm Lens.
Campus and Night Skies
1/9/24 I took some photos on campus with my Canon 6D Mark II and my 50mm lens. I’m learning more about shooting at night. I really enjoy lonely and dark shots highlighting liminal spaces. The second batch of photos are from my Google Pixel 8 Pro. I did some astral photography and some selfies.
Hope you enjoy!
Late Afternoon at Mackenzie Park
12/8/23 I wanted to work on lowering my ISO when shooting photos. I often like to rely on the Auto ISO option and sometimes that can result in my daytime photos coming out washed out or grainy. So with some learning and some tinkering I think I was able to bring in some of the colors and emotion I wanted in these images.
Enjoy!
Late Afternoon at Mackenzie Park | Google Pixel 8 Pro
12/8/23 I took a few images of the pond as the sun set and some ducks swam by. I continue to be surprised by the capabilities of the Google Pixel 8 Pro when it comes to photography.
Enjoy!
Santa’s Village 2023
12/19/23 Went for stroll tonight in Santa’s Village and came back with some photos using the Canon 6D Mark II and my Google Pixel 8 Pro. Night photography is always a challenge and I’m really pleased with how the photos came out.

Peacocks, Ducks, & Autumn Leaves
11/22/23 In the early evening and into the golden hour, I visited a restaurant nestled in this lovely little nature spot. Autumn leaves falling from the trees of red and gold, still water stream, ducks, peacocks, and more. I used my new phone the Google Pixel 8 Pro for all these photos.

Downtown Lubbock Daytime
9/26/23 I spent the late afternoon walking around Downtown Lubbock. The blue skies eventually gave way to some clouds. Walked around and found some interesting buildings, a fallen tree, and some cute little baby birds. I shot most of this with the 50mm lens, the bird photos with the 75-300mm lens. I’m constantly trying new techniques, angles, perspectives, and styles. Thanks for coming along for the ride.

My 34th Birthday | Downtown Lubbock
9/19/23 Another year passes by and I grow older. I grabbed my Canon 6D Mark II and my 50mm lens for this evening on the streets of Downtown Lubbock. I'm also testing out the Camp Snap Camera as well, which is a digital camera with a fixed lens at an affordable price. More details on that soon!
Enjoy!
